Of the several chinese restaurants in Stavanger, Sze Chuen House is our favourite! The food is cheap and good, nice ambient and the service is OK. Close to downtown Stavanger. Eat in or take away.
In addition to food from the Sze Chuen province, they have dishes from northern China as well as Dim Sum. The restaurant is in the ground floor, upstrairs there is a VIP department which can be rented, where 8 - 40 people can be seated. Lunch dishes appr. 10 US$ between 11:30 and 18:30 except sundays, a la carte menu: Main courses US$ 17 - 24.
Favorite Dish: Chinese pepper chicken.

The best chinese food I've ever tasted, anywhere in the world. Plus it's cheap (at least compared to other Norwegian restaurants) - 100-130 NOK for a big dinner.
Favorite Dish: The chinese pepper beef is an absolute classic. Renowned in Stavanger.

The name sounds Japanese, but food is definitely more Chinese. Anyway, they have great lunch menu bargains, 55-65 kroner for a filling meal!
