Tango Bar & Kjøkken: Semi minimalistic

Let's face it, eating out in Norway is expensive. And Tango is not an exception. I was surprised, though, that we did not pay even more. Approximately NOK 500 including a couple of soft drinks is not much for what we got.

This is one of the places where you are not given a menu to read and choose from, they simply come to your table and tell what you are going to eat, and there is a new menu each day.

    Opening hours:
Bar: monday - sunday 12:00 to 01:00, lunch is served between 12:00 and 15:00 except sundays.
Restaurant: Monday - Saturday from 18:00, champagne lunch saturdays from 12:00.

The food was delicately arranged and service was very very good.

In the recently arranged food festival, Gladmatfestivalen 2005 (Happy Food Festival), Tango won the price for best taste.

Favorite Dish: I only ate there once, and what we got was:

    Appetizer: Gaspaccio and chorizzo
    1. course: Scallop
    refreshment: Sherbet
    2. course: Breast of duck
    3. course: Cheese, 4 kinds, I do not remember the names
    4. course: Dessert, creme bruillet

I am not particularly fond of duck, but beeing that it was very good. The creme bruillet was not perfect, but absolutely acceptable.
