This year (2010) we've been very lucky to visit two beautiful gardens - Keukenhof in Holland and Flor&Fjaere in Norway.
In order to visit Flor&Fjaere you have to book a boat trip from Stavanger; if possible on a sunny day:). A nice 20 minutes boat trip and you are on Sør-Hidle island. The trip is expensive (it also includes a lunch or a dinner - it depends on the time you choose to go there), but impressive. Impresive keeping in mind that you are in Norway admiring exotic flora, palm trees, lemon trees and a variety of plants that you would not expect to find in such a northerly region.
