BarRock is a cozy bar which usually has live music Fridays and Saturdays. It's located right by the harbour at Brekstad, right by where the ferry comes in! It's the most popular place to go at night, it's been around for a few years, but it relocated in the beginning of this summer, so now it's more space, which is good, cause it can get crowded!
This is the place where the more grown-up people like to go, but there are also some people around 20 there, a good mix!

Dress Code: Somehow nice, but no tie!

Another nice place for viewing the awesome sunset is Uthaug, a small town known for its old street with a very maritime atmosphere. For some strange reason unkown to me, there isn't any benches placed out on the harbour, but this might change anytime soon!

From this place you can see the islands outside the peninsula, and beyond that, the Atlantic Ocean heading for the US!

There's a little place about 4km from the mainstreet in Brekstad called Holdnesøra, or known as Døsvika by most people, this is a wonderful place to watch the sun set in the ocean during the summer!
There's a great place to sit, with benches and tables, even a small fireplace for bbq-ing, if that's desireable. Rose bushes, plants and trees surround the sitting area, something that gives it an even more romantic atmosphere than the sunset manages to give alone.

The sun sets around 11pm June-August.

Me at Holdnesra, enjoying the marvelous sunset!
