Nidaros Cathedral, Trondheim
Favorite thing: Visit the cathedral, the resting place of St. Olav. Trondheim used to be Norway's capital - it was called Nidaros at the time - and the cathedral was the coronation place for Norway's kings.
Do not shoot photographes into the cathedral Minaros but, may be, you are like me : you ignore reading and you do not see the signs which are everywhere.
Fondest memory: The statues above the altar have been sculpted by Vigeland (the artist of Oslo).
See the Cathedral Nidaros, built on Saint Olaf's grave.
The construction begun in 1070 but the cathedral was arsoned several times.
The stain glass are marvellous.
Fondest memory: The visit is guided and commented in your language.
In Summer : 9:00AM to 6PM (except Saturday 2:PM & Sunday 4:00PM)
Ticket : 35 Kr
If you are French, have a look to Saint Denis who stays on the frontage with his head in his hands.
It's a long way from Paris ... above all without ones head.
See the Nidaros cathedral - the most northerly of its type.
Fondest memory: The tram ride in the evening (Photo in transportation page)
