There are two movie theatres in Trondheim – Prinsen kinosenter on Prinsens gate and Nova kinosenter at Olav Tryggvasons gate. They both have several different halls and show a variety of movies ranging from Hollywood blockbusters to Scandinavian comedies.
Seeing a film in English is a great way to improve your Norwegian since films are shown in original language with subtitles.
Prices vary according to the movie and depending on the time – earlier shows start at 60 kr and new films in later shows will cost you more than 100 kr.
Some of the halls are really small and have small screens so seeing a movie here doesn’t have to mean a big-screen experience.
