It's located at the Tyholt tower with a splendid view of the city. The floor is spinning one round in an hour so you get to see Trondheim from all angles.
Favorite Dish: I had the pizza - all you can eat and it was good. Norway is very expensive but I presume this wasn't too bad. Buffet was 99 kroner and a beer was 49

If you want to see everything in trondheim, the best way to do it is to go to Egon restaurant on TV tower. The thing is that during one hour the restaurant makes a full circle,so you can have a lunch and see something you haven't before.
the food is good and everyone can find something that likes.

My father enjoying the view over the town from the rotating restaurant 'Egon' in the Tyholt-tower. The restaurants of the Egon chain aren't the most exciting or culinary places to eat, but the food is OK. There's also an Egon restaurant downtown, next to the Augustin hotel.

They might be one of the more expensive establishments in Trondheim, but at least their Tarnet restaurant is worth the price offering one of the best views in Trondheim. Situated at the height of 74 metres above ground on the 120 – metre high telecommunication tower at Tyholt the restaurant has two floors. As you sit up there the rotating platform will offer a unique 360-degrees panorama of the city, fjord and the surroundings. It is open from 11 am till 11pm.
Favorite Dish: Egon is not on the cheap side so I had only coffee here. Good thing is that the waiters have no problem with customers coming up here only to enjoy the view.

The restaurant isn't just a single restaurant. You'll find it in several other cityes in Norway, as well as two (soon to be three) places in Trondheim. It's popular because it has a wide variety of dishes, at a moderate level of expence (Norwegian levels)
The Restaurant at the corner of Olav Trygvasson gate and Søndre gate is a cosy restaurant with verry strange interior.
The restaurant in the Tyholt Tower spinns round.
I haven't visited the others yet.

The restaurant is in a tower that spins slowly around itself, so the guests have a sight of the whole town. Egon has a spesial atmosphere. You don't notice the other guests, it's a casual restaurant, no dress code and it serves good, relatively cheap food.
Favorite Dish: pepper steak

Egon restaurant in Tyholt tower
The restaurant at the top of the Tyholt tower is an ordinary restaurant with standard Norwegian prices. The spesial about this restaurant is that you are in the top of a tower and can see the whole city of Trondheim while you eat! The place where you eat is turning around, slowly: one hour to get back where you started.
This is a great opportunity to get to know the city. If you have the chance; go exactly when the sun goes down, so that you eat the first bite in sunlight and the last one in the dark!

Egon has a very special atmosphere. It almost seems as if you sit there entirely by yourself, you don't get disturbed by the other visitors. There is also relaxing, live piano music in the background. It is quite cheap compared to other restaurants in Trondheim, but those of you who don't live in Norway will probably find it a bit expensive anyway.
Favorite Dish: pizza
