    Flor, bunker World War II

Bunker, formerly - there can be little doubt about that - a part of the coastal defence works dating back to WW II. To be found somewhere near Florø Stadium and the lake Litlevatnet. We passed this way during our brisk walk towards the harbour Florevika.

    Terdalen sawmill

The water canal and the saw mill

For this you will need to organise the visit through the tourist office.
In the fairly isolated Terdalen (no road, no scheduled boat service) the old sawmill has been restored. It is now again in working condition and a delight of many oldtimers who'd like to see this as a living museum. Local cultural events are held in connection to the saw mill.

    Grotlesanden beach

Only the palm trees and temperature missing at this beautiful white sandy beach near Florø.
Visit on a warm day and be enchanted.
You'll also discover that the water temperature is not too bad in July and early August.
