When you arrive in Rjukan, you can't miss the Gaustatoppen. It is the highest mountain in the region and it is easy to climb (walk) to the top in about three hours. On a clear day you have a view over 50 km in every direction. But beware, it can be cold towards the top (1881m).

Rjukan is a nice village some 170 km northwest from Oslo. It is a nice starting point for daytrips to for example the Hardangervidda and the Gaustatoppen.
