Bus and steamer travel

Its ideal way to see Troms's beautiful nature and sea. You first take a bus from Troms (bus next to Tourism Office) to Askervoy. You will experience two short ferry crossing. The bus go through very scenic coastal road and you can enjoy a dreamy vilages and towering snow-covered mountains. From Askerroy,your are transferred to the famous "HUTIGRUTEN" steamer. You will enjoy the sea view, mountains around, small villages, and the superb sunset. You will never regret to participate in this trip. You can book a diner on the ship if you so wish. You will come back slowly to beautiful Tromso. The total of approximately 9-hour heavenly trip.The price is: NOK550 for adults and NOK 340 for children

Airport bus

From the airport to the Tromsø center, you may take either TAXI or bus. the bus costs 45 kr pp, while the TAXI costs roughly 130 kr. If you have more than 3 person, take a TAXI as the bus comes only every hour.

Car

There is an airport in Troms but if you want to see more Norway and maybe Sweden or Finland, take a car. It's very easy to drive around there from country to another. There's no special tolls, so you don't have to show your passport or ID. Nordic countries has co-oparation contract, so it's very easy to drive there and see those three countries in North. But if you want to go from Finland to Russia, you need a visa. Border traffic there is very bad and things go very slow and there has been lot of lines. So I prefer you to stay in Scandinavia. Russia is an interesting place, but you if you want to go there - take a lot of time with you.
