    Verdens Ende

From Larvik, we went on to the town of Tonsberg where we walked along the waterfront before stopping for cappuccino and a snack.

We drove on through farmland and forests for 30 minutes until we arrived at Verdens Ende (The End of the World). Verdens Ende is located at the southernmost tip of the island of Tjome. It has a wonderful view of the Skagerrak, which is a strait that runs between Norway, Sweden, and the Jutland peninsula of Denmark. There are fishing boats and many islets and huge rocks out in the water for climbing. It looked like a great place to explore but it was extremely windy and really cold when we were there so we didn’t stay too long.

This place is not more then a hamlet and few houses on the shore but still it does have all the things that make this country so good looking.
Some cliffs on the side, the sea, nice looking houses.

On top of the clif stands UlaBrand. A monument for Norway's most famous pilot, Anders Jacob Johansen. The view from the top is great!

    Larsie :-))

This is my friend Lars. You can't forget to visit him when you are close to Larvik because he is too funny and friendly! He showed me the best places in his town and I can say that he is a great guide ;-) I hope to meet him soon in Norway or here in Italy but if it is not possible in few months, I will meet him here on vt almost every day, so thanks VT!!
Just another little think about Lars: he smokes hard so tell him to stop a bit during your staying !! lol

    a grave?

It takes a bit of driving to get here but its worth the trip. The scenery is breathtaking and highly unusual.
Now there was hardly no wind but Iver said that when it storms the rocks make a lot of noise. I can imagine that, all the rocks rollling over each other.

    spiral

They are not hidden but very difficult to find these rock carvings. Dating prehistoric times. They are on a big rock somewhere along the road.
