Lots of things to enjoy in Elk. One of my favorite things to do, for example, you can sit by the lake and feed the swans, ride your bike along the pathway. The lake in the center of town is beautiful in the summer, there are sailboats in the water, and people walking their dogs, children on bicycles. It's nice just to sit on one of the benches and watch people as they pass and live life.

If you are in Elk, you must go to the city beach. There is all, what you need: camping place, WC, shower-bath, lending shop with the sports equipment, bar, restaurants....
And if you like fishing - Elk is very good place for you. You can fish, if you have good luck pikes, tenches, crucians, catfishes, eels and other. The water here is clean and there live crabs :)

Elk is situated on the Jezioro Elckie - a beautiful lake. In the distance there is the pressures tower. Now in this tower there is the seat of the Society of German Minority.
There is too the Museum Of Water.

in front of the Church of Saint Heart of Jezus there are the statue of Jesus Christus and a big wooden cross. Here are every day many flowers.

The interior of this church is very nice. Here can you see the main altar from 1959, 4 lateral altars and great stained glass windows they present the scenes of the life of Jesus.

This neogothic church - Kosciol Najswietszego Serca Pana Jezusa ( the Church of the Saint Heart of Jesus) was built in years 1847-1850. Before to the year 1525 there was the church of Saint Catharina the patron of the Teutonic Order wich commanded in this region very longe time.

In this park there are the statue of Michal Kajka (1858-1940). He was a folk Mazurien poet. Before this place was called Place of Queen Luisa. In park there are a historic fountain, decorated lamps and benchs.
