What I love in Warsaw is of course the Old Town which has partly been rebuilt after WWarII, looks very clean and beautiful, including a castle.
Also the long street often referred at the 'Champs-Elysees' of Warsaw, called Nowakrakowsky...? well something like this...is great. Along this avenue you will see many interesting buildings including the president's palace (you can not get in).
This PICTURE shows the main place in the Old Town of Warsaw.

The Polish people may look at the first approach, a bit 'cold', but actually they are very very nice. I really met great people. And most of them (especially the young ones) speak at least some English.

  • The main gate to Auschwitz I concentration camp - Poland
The main gate to Auschwitz I
    concentration camp
    by matcrazy1
All over the world, Auschwitz has become a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. It was established by the Nazis in 1940, in the suburbs of the city of Oswiecim (you say Auschwitz, we say Oswiecim) which, like other parts of Poland, was occupied by the Germans during the Second World War.
    ,
The main gate over which runs the infamous credo "Arbeit Macht Frei" (Work Liberates). Few who passed through this gate lived.
    .
The overall number of victims of Auschwitz in the years 1940-1945 is estimated at between 1,100,000 and 1,500,000 people.

AUTUMN IN POLAND. Every place is good enough to admire lovely, colourful Polish autumn, but for me the most excellent are BIESZCZADY MOUNTAINS. Autumn, great time for hikking and taking the pictures.

SPRING IN POLAND The best time for bird-watching. But it's a great season for hikking too. Many palces are lovely, but my favourite is Ponidzie. The beautiful region of colourful landscapes and charming towns.
