The greatest number of examples of burgher houses date back to the late nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century; they were erected in the then fashionable style of neo-historicism.

At Solankowa Street, featuring original buildings and an exquisite artistic taste, we can see the house of merchant Julian Dreus, which refers to the romanticism and neo-Gothic style, the neo-Renaissance villa of a well deserved builder from Inowroc³aw, Kazimierz Przyluski, the "burgher palace" in the Italian neo-Renaissance style that will be the seat of the Jan Kasprowicz Museum, the house representing the Dutch Renaissance, where Stanislaw Przybyszewski resided in 1927, and the "Bialy Dworek" (White Manor) guest house inspired by the Polish traditional style.
