Favorite thing: The Trivillage: Koniakow, Istebna and Jaworzynka lies in Beskid Slaski. It is the range of mountains with several peaks over 1200 metres above the sea level. Although it doesn't seem high, but deep valleys and steep slopes can at times make you sweat.

Favorite thing: In Istebna there is a little museum dedicated to Jerzy Kukuczka - a famous alpinist. His parents used to live here and now the house can be visited by tourists, but usually only at the weekends.
Jerzy Kukuczka was the second ( after Reinhold Messner) person to conquer the Himalayan crown ( 14 peaks - all above 8thousand metres).
He died in 1989 when he was just a few metres from the peak of Lhotse but the rope broke and he fell down the precipice.
