Such as much of Polish small towns Kornik has pretty nice town square. Main square is a central point of the town. It is a part of the street that is created of car roads. Square is surrounded by nice old 1-2 floor houses, church and in the centre of it town hall is situated.
Gothic church created in 1439. In second part of 18 century was underbuilt. Church is built of red brick. In under the church crypts of Dzialynski and Zamoyski families locate there.
Such as many castles Kornik castle has also his legends. Its most known legend says that at the nights in the park and castle rooms a dame Teofila of Dzialynski's Szoldrska-Potulicka walks. She is called a "White Dame" becouse on one portrait she wears white clothes.
Dont know is it safe to walk in the castle at night:)
If you decide to take a boat trin on lake Kornickie, the boat will bring you to tavern. It is very good place to eat. Food is very tasty and nicely served. Good menu.
There are also typical Polish (and traditional) dishes like soups.
Near tavern is a beach and accomodation (summer houses).

Boat "Anna Maria" offers trips on lake Kornickie, boat goes through interesting historical sights. Boat starts from Kornik (close to castle), it brings for lunch to restaurant-tavern on another bank of the lake.
Being on the lake you can see nice panoramas of towns Kornik and Bnin.
Kornik locates on the bank of large lake Kornickie. It is a wonderful place to enjoy nature. Not far lake Bninskie is situated with a small beach in Blazejewko.
