Fondest memory: As soon as we arrived at Piaski, which is formally part of Krynica Morska, our landlady said she had to warn us about something: there were some wild boar running the village streets! Then she added hastily they were so tame you could feed them from your hand. Just mind they don't bite you. I was so excited to hear that that the very same evening I went to keep watch where they usually came - the children's playground nearby. I waited and waited but nothing happened. But next morning we were driving to Krynica to get on a boat to Frombork when suddenly I saw a big black animal running beside our car, squealing loudly. At first I thought it was a dog but I'd never heard a dog squeal. That was our first encounter with a boar. Two days later we saw a whole family of wild boar, this time in the street of Piaski, but only from a distance. A face-to-snout encounter came on our last day there, when we were coming back from a walk in the wood. And there at the same place as before was a boar. He/she was just having some cabbage in the boar canteen and jumped back on seeing us but soon went on eating undisturbed while I took a photo.
