There are a few simple, basic opened restaurants on the main street (Kosciuszki) in Leba, some serve only roasted fish (various: sea and lake fish).
At least one is located on the seaboat standing in a canal (look at the picture) but was closed in October.
The best one opened was on the left side (walking towards the sea) just before the bridge over the canal.
Favorite Dish: Roasted fresh fish + seasonal salad, my favourite (in Polish language):
Sandwicz (pronaunce sand-which)
Losos (pronaunce wosos)

The fishermen sells fresh fish directly from the fishing boats - look for them in the canal in the center of the town.
What to buy: Fresh fish (various: sea and lake fish).
What to pay: Cheap!
The natives used to catch fish in the canal even in the same center of the town.
They sell them here together with fishermen from boats. Rather do not ask for a bill :-).
The distance Tychy (my hometown) - Leba is about 650 km (400 mi) - believe me, it's too much to drive non-stop, there is no highway (except maybe 30 km near Lodz).
The driving is stressful because of numerous slooooooow, old tracks.
So stop and sleep but do NOT choose this accommodation on the picture: more in my accommodation tips.
The water in the Baltic Sea is rather cold even in summer: in June, July and August usually around 18-22 C (64-72 F), in sunny, hot days sometimes a little warmer.
From September to May rather too cold to bath unless you love cold water brr..... :-)
Unique Suggestions: Try to love cold water, go to Leba in mid-June to late August.
Fun Alternatives: Do not bath at the sea, bath in the hotel swimming pool.
