There are some interesing buildings, monuments and crosses arounf the church in Makow Podhalanski. The most inportant and attractive seems to be a crossway. There are fourteen chapels around the church and each shows one of the pictuers of Jusus way to the death. It is not frequent to have the crossway outside the church. Usually churches hahe it inside.
The church is not only interesting inside and architectually but also its walls may be attractive. You can find some really nice things on church's walls, all of them are pretty old. There are crosses and sculptures. Each side of the church has something on its wall. This is qutie nice ornament and, in my opinion, adds beaty to the building.
There is a crowned painting of God's Mother of Families with Jesus the Child. The picture was painted at the end of XVI century. It was sacred by Cardinal Bernard Maciejowski in 1602. First mentioning about mirracles was written in chronicles as early as in 1684. There is also a Gold Chronicle where special mirracles are written.
On 30 March 1978, thanks to Stefan Cardinal Wyszynski and Cardinal Karol Wojtyla, the Pope Paul VI agreed to crown the painting. On 10 June 1979 the Pope John Paul II crowned the painting in Krakow.
