SAD WOMEN :-((((

There are sculptures of sad women nn the left side of the gate from the previous tip. Virgins or what? Sorry, I don't remember - it's just my dirty imagination :-).

THE COURTYARD

A courtyard is an area of flat ground outside which is partly or completely enclosed by the walls of a buiding.
And the castle courtyard is surrounded by high walls of the High Castle.

THE WELL

It seems that they built the whole machinery to get the water up from the well. There are a few wooden cog-wheels to make it easier. Hmm... I didn't try to use it. Should I?

IN THE COURTYARD

The Courtyard of the High Castle is the central point for all visitors. There are a lot of expositions (and tourists) around. But it's not crowded area anyway, as you can see on my picture.

THE LAST DOOR

Look at the last door before you enter the High castle Courtyard. It is made of iron and surely it is heavy door but - what a surprice -easy to move - good old technology :-).

THE NEXT GATE AND DRAWBRIDGE

Oh, no, you must pass through the two more gates and one more drawbridge to enter the High Castle Courtyard. Hmm... it was really not so easy to get inside.

THE ENTRANCE GATE TO THE HIGH CASTLE

You must go through the second (internal) wall to enter the High Castle. Pay attention to wooden top of the entrance gate. Doesn't it look amazing?

THE SMALL GATE TO THE HIGH CASTLE

Look at the first (external) wall of the High Castle and the beautiful small gate. Pay attention to the typical brick colours and composition.

DRAWBRIDGE

There is the wooden drawbridge over the deep moat seperating the Middle Castle from the High Castle. Just go through the bridge and don't worry - they never rise the bridge up nowadays :-).
