pubcrawl in Lodz: pubcrawl in Lodz

by sphynxxs

Warsaw may be the capital of Poland, but Lodz is the place for a long night out. Near and along Piotrkowska Street, the main street in the city centre, are dozens of Pubs, clubs and restaurants, several of them in old industrial sites (Lodz used to be the 'Polish Manchester' during the last century, when the textile mills changes the rather laid back provincial place into a boomtown) Depends on the location, but normally anything from leisure outfit to smart casual

U Wolodzi, Hajnowka: U Wolodzi, Hajnowka

by sphynxxs

Don´t let yourself get deterred by the rundown barrack exterior among concrete blocks in Hajnowka, Eastern Poland (very far off the beaten track as well, but if you are heading to Bialowieza....) - U Wolodzi is a real original place, drawing you back too a past buried twelve years ago. Named after Wladimir (= Wolodja is the diminuitive form) Iljitsh Lenin, the inside really pays tribute to the big leader of all proletarians - Lenin busts everywhere, red flags, Soviet stars, parts of Red Army uniforms and lots of party slogans go along with monumental propaganda paintings. There is a beergarden in summer. Casual - if you have some Communist brass to attach to your clothings, it wouldn´t look out of place

Przystanek woodstock - Zary: Przystanek woodstock - Zary

by sphynxxs

Rock festival on an old military airport near the Polish-german border - the next is due on aug. 10/11 th. The atmosphere really is rather woodstock-like... people usually have lots of fun, beer and rock´n´roll dress code? must be kidding...

Czarny Staw.: Czarny Staw.

by richiecdisc

Though there are plenty of bars and cafes in Zakopane, the most popular thing to do is eat. After a hard day of hiking, you need lots of calories to replenish and there is no shortage of places to do it. This place specialized in grilled meats.

Krakow, being a student town,...

by Annabella

Krakow, being a student town, has a very happening nightlife. Ask the locals because the 'in' spots seem to be these tucked away places that don't really have storefronts. I went to Pod Boronami in a cellar on the main square. I was told that this place isn't 'in' anymore, but it's beautiful and very unique.

OPARACH: Warsaw nights

by Sleipnir

The pub Oparah in the Praga district is very nice, far from the touristic places, the atmosphere is very cool, with a great decoration, it's one of the lung of the district.

Morgan's: Irish Pub

by timtregenza

Located in a cellar under the Chopin Museum, this Irish pub offer space to sit down and talk. Mind you, they can't pull a pint of guinness!

Polish vodka

by Wiktoria

No matter where you go you will be sure to have fun with great Polish vodka.
