Except for Warsaw and Krakow, I'd categorize all of Poland as 'off the beaten track.' Even cities like Posnan and Wroclaw, which are quite near the German border, are not well-visited. This is unfortunate, for the provincial cities are much more attractive than Warsaw.

Ofcourse, Krakow is a must, but don't forget about Kazimierz, the former sister town of Krakow, now incoporated in the urban area of the city. The Jewish legacy is still present here. If you're a vegeterian: perfect restaurants!
