The Biesczady are a mountain range in the south east of poland. Lots of Polish people go hiking there, but not as much as in the Tatras. Personnaly, I liked the Biesczady more then the Tatras.

Though you will probably be busy hiking, eating, drinking or shopping, take some time out to visit the typical village chapel right on the main street.

Lesko, with its very impressive Jewish cemetary.

Komancza. A lovely silent town with a range of small villages in the surrouding with nice orthodox and uniate churches ('onion domes').
