If you arrive by bus you will properly get of at the town square. This small town square has some bus-stops (two sheds) some benches and some small shops. In the northern corner of the square you will furthermore find a small road leading up to the ruins. This road is has 5-10 cafes, bars and souvenir shops related to the ruins.

The primary attraction in Olsztyn are the ruins of the castle which dates back to the 13'th century. It costs a couple of zloty to enter the premises.
If you climb the hill up to the ruins you will get a magnificent view of the area, including a view of much of Czestochowa.

Ruins of a castle from Middle Ages. When you visit Czestochowa (the Jasna Gora sanctuary) go and visit Olsztyn castle. If you are lucky you can see one the castle's ghosts which appears when it is getting dark. They are not dangerous but they can cry and shout. Don't worry they got used to tourists:)
