Warm clothing and good boots are required in winter. It can drop well below zero.In summer it can be surprisingly warm, so make sure you have some light clothing. It can still get a little chilly in the evening though.Bring an umbrella just in case of rain.

There are four distinct seasons in Poland.Winters can get really cold. So bring some high boots, a warm hat, gloves, a warm scarf, and a nice warm coat. It's nice to always have a lot of clothes that can be layered.Spring and fall are a mix of rainy and chilly as well as nice, warm and sunny weather. Make sure you have an umbrella or a rain coat. You probably want to bring a variety of clothing (shorts as well as long pants and a jacket just in case).Summers are usually hot. Please be always prepared though. Bring a sweater, a pair of long pants, warmer shoes and an umbrella just in case. You can find just about any type of medicine in Poland. However, even though the ingredients might be the same, your particular medicine might be of a different brand and therefore it has a different name that you are not familiar with. Look for an 'Apteka' sign which means pharmacy in Polish. Film...

Resort ATM vs cash vs travellers' cheques: You'd better bring along your ATM card and not cash. Besides the relative safety this offers, it will also help you to avoid huge commissions that are often charged by foreign exchange buros (and by the companies converting travellers' cheques into cash, alas, as well). You'll see plenty of ATM machines, especially in big cities. Many shops also accept the cards.

Regular stuff They (Poles) dress up frivolously - nice. You may feel uncomfortable in your jeans and sweater in some unexpected places. In some discos you'll feel as if there's a wedding going on...Nowdays, you can buy very nice clothes here, so 'no big deal'.Use your common sense. No shortages anymore in Poland. You may want to take your medicine from home, though. In Europe, they have different names and preffer different brands. As with most stuff-electronics are less expensive to buy in America. For those needing to re-charge a battery, bring your voltage-current-converter with a narrow/multi plug. Many European socets are 'deep-inside' a wall. Some will make you wander..:}:}:}what the hell...#!@$@#!$# Bring what you normally bring, or buy it here Pre-pay your credit card before you leave home and cash advance it here. This way you'll get the best exchange rate.ATM machines're...
