The woman with red beanie was mumbling something in Polish. I later found out she was saying, "Are you from a hole or something? Haven't you see people buying eggs before?"
I should have ask before taking the pic but the egg seller seemed happy.

This should be called a car boot market where people bring stuff to sell in their cars every thursday morning (in winter, depends on the weather).
Obviously the weather was not good when I was there judging by the number of buyers and sellers.
What to buy: Vegetables, fruits, eggs, clothes, gloves, knives etc.

Just the view in one of the few grocery stores in town.
What to buy: Bought a pack of ready-made pierogi z kapusta i grzybami (dumplings made from noodle dough stuffed with cabbage and mushrooms. It wasn't nice. :( Try the home-made one instead.

You can get all your grocery needs here though if you need to buy things in huge quantities you'll need to go to bigger towns like Katowice or Krakow (both about 40km away).
I'd my first taste of authentic Polish kabanos and kielbasa (sausages, they are the best!) here.
There's also a liquor store that sells wodka (vodka). Polish wodka comes in different colours and flavours. I don't like alcohol (get allergic reaction once the threshold is reached) but I can't get my hands off advokat, a thick liqueur with egg yolk. Also try zubrowska, "bison vodka" flavoured with grass from the Bialowieza forest on which the bison feed (to tell you the truth I don't like it, too strong for me but people seem to enjoy it).
Oh and my boyfriend's mum has an apteka (pharmacy) in town where I've access to prescription drugs (just kidding :p).
