    The PKP website [in english] gives times of trains between Poznan and Wolsztyn it states which are steam. I took the 09.23 steam from Poznan ,it arrived at Wolsztyn at 11.18. Wolsztyn is a small place not much to see although there is a steam museum, i took the next ordinary train back.

    I travelled to and from Poznañ by train. The journey time from Warsaw was slightly more than 2 hours. The service was good, comfortable and you can get a coffee and dinner on the train.

    The station has a lot of services and shops available to the traveller.

    I found the centre to be a wonderful experience - there were many shops and restaurants. It was excellent and I was in fact able to buy what I needed - some trousers!

    Beer is a good price in Poznan, there was a large openair drinking area in the centre of town when i was there. By the way, Poles seem to drink a lot of TEA.

    Weather in poznan is typically for all this Great Poland ( pol. wiekopolska) region. Light- to medium weights are worn during warmer months. Medium- to heavy weights are needed during winter. However do not forget that rainwear is advisable all year. Today I forgot about it :(.
