Favorite thing: The name looks like a misspelling but it is not. So how to pronounce it? Very easy, in fact.
"Psh-t-shEE-nah."
Easy, eh?
Please repeat...
Fondest memory: Matt gave us several lessons during the bus ride until we all could say it...

Favorite thing: The population of Pszczyna town is about 27 thousand. Tourist advantages of the Land Of Pszczyna have been known for a long time, though there are still many attractive places to be discovered and properly developed. The capital of the region is best prepared to receive guests. In Pszczyna, there are hotels of varied standards, as well a network of trade, service and catering outlets, ready to provide their services to tourists. Nevertheless, it is the entire Pszczyna region which is of unique interest, highly recommended for visits.

Favorite thing: Old, renovated houses are usually painted in pastel colors in Pszczyna, like in Italy hehe and in contrast to bright green of Mexico for example.
Unique are colores of roofing-tiles of some houses: dark brown or black in contrast to common red/orange.

Favorite thing: The Castle Museum in Pszczyna is one of the most frequently visited museums-residences in Poland. Every year, the castle attracts over 100 thousand tourists. Why?
Because of very well maintained interiors of Pszczyna castle. At most days you can enter the museum till 2.00pm. Don't forget to buy a guide-book to the museum in castle tourist store.
You can't get the guide in English or German unless you call to Musem Office in advance: (+48 32) 210 30 37.

Favorite thing: The castle park with its small lakes looks really amazing. It covers quite large area.
It looks much better then a little neglected outside building of the castle itself. And it looks great although different whenever you come: in winter, summer, spring and fall/autumn.

Favorite thing: In the immediate neighbourhood of the Market Square (Rynek) , right behind the Wybrantzen Gate, the magnificent residence of the Dukes of Pszczyna is situated.
The first fortified castle was built in 11th centure in this place. The last reconstruction – in the neo-baroque style – was carried out in the years 1871-1876, by Aleksandre Hippolite Destailleur, a famous French architect (1822-1893).

Favorite thing: Look at windows of old tenement houses around Pszczyna Market Square (Rynek). Some of them look very nice, those located under roof especially. Add nice view through a window :-).

Favorite thing: Look at old street lamps. They are put along main walking (closed to traffic) street of Pszczyna that is Piastowska Street and around Market Square. More and more old Polish towns put them now - I like it.
