There are a lot of 18th and 19th tenement houses around Pszczyna Market Square (Rynek). Some of them have unusual roofs with small windows - look at my picture. Hmm... I never forget roofs of old town in Strasbourg, France - quite similar, I think.

This classicist manor house was built in 1799 in the northern part of the park by Wilhelm Pusch, the permanent court architect of the Anhalt-Kothen-Pless princes. It was named after the young Prince Ludwig, who rated the privacy of his modest accommodation more highly than the official court etiquette which was the norm in the castle. Therefore the chamber-like silhouette of the manor-house is in contrast with the glamorous residence of the Pszczyna princes. The building was skilfully blended into the mild slope and green of the park. At present, Ludwikowka is in private hands.

This is very nice to explore streets around the main market square (rynek). Some of them has reliefs on walls of buildings which are in the street. Reliefs show some situation exactly like a name of the street. I have never seen something like this... There are, for example, firefighters' and potters' street.

Take a look at the evangelical church and go inside like I and Donald (DonGrafton) did.
The original church was built together with a school and a flat in the years 1743-1746, from of the funds provided by of count Erdmann Promnitz, according to the plans of Christian Jahne. In 1860 a tower was added, and in 1896 a new organ was installed. The church, destroyed in a fire in 1905, was reconstructed by Scheinnert in the neo-baroque style, in the years 1905-1907.
On the outside wall of the church there is a tombstone of knight Zawadzki of Polanka who died in 1716.

The neo-Renaissance town hall situated in the northern frontage of the market square borders on the evangelical church. Hmm... a church (on the left on my picture) looks better than Pszczyna Town Hall (on right) in my opinion. Am I wrong?

Apart from amazing corner-towers of old tenement houses there are towers of old churches in Pszczyna, as well. Look at towers of the Evangelical Church of Pszczyna roofed with green, sheet iron. Zinc or copper? Hmm... I don't know. Do you?

Roofs of 18th and 19th century tenement houses of Pszczyna Market Square look very nice. Old lamps on the square as well.
Hmm... the only new things are satellite dishes there. Shouldn't they be banned on old houses? Wow, what about saint law in Poland: my house is my castle!!!

There is beautiful, round, small tower of tenement house at corner of Piastowska Street and Market Square. Would you like to live there? I would!
