We were lucky enough to have had private transport arranged by Matt from Krakow to Pszczyna- we traveled by coach (pic 2)
Pszczyna has a train and bus station to the east of the town centre, about a 10 minute walk to the main square.
4 buses set off from Krakow daily-the journey takes about 2.15 hours.
By train, change at Katowice (Krakow to Katowice 1.30 hours - trains run every 30 minutes/ hourly depending on time of day) hourly trains, and a further 40 minute journey.

The best way to get to Pszczyna is from Katowice or Bielsko - Biala. Pszczyna is located somewhere between these cities. It takes about 40 minutes to get there by train from both cities. All trains stop here. City center is about 5 - 10 minutes walking from the station.
The railway station in Pszczyna is rather small. There are two ticket offices and a waiting hall where a kiosk with newpapers, magazines and other things is located. There are also some bars in front of the station but do not like well.;)

The old center of Pszczyna is small, easy to walk. The Pszczyna castle is just west of the Market Square (Rynek).

Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum (former Nazi concentration camps) is located on the suburbs of the city of Oswiecim 25 km (16 mi) east of Pszczyna.
The cheapest way to get to Pszczyna is to take a city bus (or a taxi) from the museum to Oswiecim Raiway Station (taxi about 2-3, a bus 0.5 Euros) and to get a train to Czechowice-Dziedzice (about 30 min.) and from Czechowice-Dziedzice to Pszczyna (about 15 min.). Ticket costs approx. 2 Euros.
