Budzisz must be the most popular of Kashubian surnames. We stayed with the Budziszes at Chalupy years ago, some other Budziszes at Kuznica a little later and have heard of many more... So it definitely is a local restaurant specialising in fish dishes, the freshness of which is guaranteed by the closeness to the fish source - the Pucka Bay. We've been there only once but will be back. It's a little more expensive than a similar kind of establishment at Wladyslawowo for instance, but it's worth a try, if only to have a look at its decorations - the tables put on barrels, the wooden folk sculptures and many more. You may like them or not but the place certainly looks interesting.
We re-visited the restaurant a few days ago on a sunny April afternoon (in 2007). It was only 6.20 pm. but we were told by a sour-looking man (the manager?) the restaurant was closed. There were no other guests but the door was open and the notice on the door mentioned only the opening time -10.00. As you see it's better not to count on them, at least off season.
Favorite Dish: The first time we were there we only had fish soup as it was only lunch time and we didn't feel hungry. The soup was delicious, but in other restaurants it is usually served without fish bones, so that anyone unprepared might choke on one before realising they have not been removed. We were not given the chance to try anything else this year, hungry as we were after a day trip in the area.

The Golonka is situated on the edge of a wood at Mechowo by the road Mechowo - Puck. Not particularly elegant inside, it still offers wholesome Polish cuisine, with large helpings at very reasonable prices. Children will enjoy watching the fish in the aquarium, adults - the quiet of the surroundings.
Favorite Dish: My husband enjoyed 'zurek' (Polish soup of fermented meal) served inside a small loaf of bread (even if he couldn't eat all the bread). We both shared a "golonka", which is cooked pig's ham below the knee. It was very good, but mind you don't order the whole thing for one person - they can be enormous! There are more things on the menu in summer months - we didn't have much choice in April.
