In Nowecin by magor65 Horseriding is becoming more and more popular in Poland. There are stables and horse-riding schools all over the country. Of course, not all of them can be recommended. Sometimes the people who run them are merely amateurs, who have a couple of horses and want to earn money offerring very little in return. One of the stables worth trying if you are visiting Polish seaside is situated in Nowecin near Leba. It is run by a professional trainer, the horses (there are about 40 of them) are well-groomed and the grounds are vast. Both individual and group rides are on offer, including half-day trips on the sea-shore (for those who are fairly advanced). Leave a Comment Address: Nowecin near Leba, 'Senny' stables

by gale.blog.pl Swimming in Baltic Sea may not be the most stunning experience. The sea is quite cold and its water may be polluted. Anyway, sometimes it's worth spending a while watching people swimming... Leave a Comment Theme: Sports Watching

Sniezka Mountain by call_me_rhia The hike to Sniezka Mountain, near the town of Karpacz, is an easy but plesant hike. The top lies at 1602 metres above sea level. The first stretch, however, can be shortened by using a very old (year 1959) and precarious chair-lift. From there it's just under an hour to the top, where you can find the St. Laurentius Chapel and a futuristic building resembling a flying-saucer (it's a meteo station, btw). From there you can take the loger path back down to Karpacz, passing en route some nice alpine lakes and two cosy mountain huts. All together it should take 3 to 4 easy hours
Hiking boots and a bottle of water. A map of the area can be handy, too Leave a Comment Theme: HikingAddress: KarpaczDirections: in the Karkonosze Range, not far from Jelena Gora

At the foot of the slope by slawekjb Recently my friends and I made a trip to a great little ski resort, near CZECH and GERMAN border. It's a great place to ski, snowboard, climb the rocks and hike. Prices are moderate to cheap by western standards. They start at $ 8 US/night for a B&B in a private home to $ 60 US/night in a nice hotel (sauna, swimming pool, etc)
One may bring his/her own equippment, though for a short visit I would recommend renting it (US$ 5.00/24 hrs.) from many rental shacks right by the slope. Leave a Comment Theme: Skiing/SnowboardingAddress: SZKLARSKA POREBA.Great many places to stay.Directions: SW tip of Poland.
