Better do not disturb young natives during their blood alcohol experiments with Tychy beer in many (I think about 200) bars, restaurants, pubs... Rather join them. They are very friendly for very rare foreign visitors and many of them can speak at least a little English or/and German.
Tychy is the city of young people - 27,0% of the population are in the pre-productive age. So there are relatively many, usually hidden nightlife spots there, busy on Friday and Saturday especially.
Don't you believe me?
Haha, ask:
- Fernando (darthmilmo) from San Antonio, Texas, USA
- Mischka (Sympathisant) from Germany
They should (I hope so :-) remember and know something about it.
Hmm... at least you can ask Urszula (matcrazy0) as well :-).
Dress Code: As you like (although suits and ties not recommended :-). Most younger folks dress casual = jeans + T-shirt.

If your city has it's own brewery, guess what they drink at the night clubs?
Yes Tyskie beer, this is the factory in Tychy.
Sad to say, it will not be imported to USA, so you must go there to try it. :o)

The Tychy Music Festival is dedicated to Rysiek Riedel, the late lead singer for the band "Dzem" and a native of Tychy. Btw "dzem" means jam (food) in Polish language :-).
Dzem was one of the best in history polish rock-blues bands. Rysiek Riedel died 30 July 1994 in a hospital after drug abuse.
There are meetings of his funs at his grave in Tychy cemetery in every anniversary of his death.
The festival was held for the first time in 1999. And since that time it takes place in Paprocany in the outoor recreational area at the banks of Paprocanskie Lake in July every year. The idea of the festival is to warn young people of the dangers related to drug abuse. The City Council of Tychy and the Voivode of Silesia held the patronage over the event.

Dress Code: Unusual dress and hair recommended! All colours of hair accepted :-))). Visitors riding crazy motorcycles welcome!
