I was glad to meet Mary-Lou (marylou11) and her fiance in Tychy. Haha, it was my first VT-meeting ever. We were very glad to receive a bottle of KAHLUA produced in the USA, bought in Canada which we didn't know before.
I was looking for Kahlua in Tychy liquor stores but unfortunatelly it's unavailable. Hmm... maybe soon when I ask for it a few times more :-).

TUI? What's that? Typing Under Influence (of alcohol/booze)!
Although it's legal better not to do it even if you taste delicious Tyskie beer or Irish Kilkenny beer. That means do NOT follow neither me nor some of my visitors (don't ask me who? - top secret!).

It seems that majority of locals smoke cigarettes. There is no law demanding seperated non-smoking rooms in restaurants and pubs. So be prepared to sit in a room for both smoking and non-smoking and be sure that most of locals will smoke. Only a few restaurants have seperated area for non-smoking customers.
It started to change. No smoking allowed in all offices (numerous hehe) of Tychy Town Hall. In new born companies, both Polish and foreign smoking is not allowed as well - look at my picture with new Tyskie brewery smoking employee - outside the building.

Driving Under Influence of alcohol (DUI) is a crime in Poland. It's strictly forbidden to drive until your alcohol blood level decreases below 0.2 promile.
Remember: it's less than even 1 beer.
You will be arrested and get to very simple and dirty police arrest for up to 48 hours. Then you may be temporarily arrested by the judge sentence for up to 3 months with possiblity to prelong it up to 1 year. The final sentence maybe: prohibition on driving (it's obligatory) from 1 to 10 years, fine from 200 zl to 7200 zl or a jail from 6 months to 8 years.Brrrrr...
So, do not follow the inscription from the picture, call a taxi.

Whenever you walk around Tychy you should look at your feet not to fall down. Watch your steps - walkways are NOT flat there. Just in case... we have a good hospital in Tychy :-). One day can cost only $50 - $60 or so there, add surgery costs if needed.
Hmm... it should be Poland Warning or Danger Tip, I suppose. Poland doesn't like flat walkways and flat highways as well :-(((.

Once I was surprised when I noticed promotional sale of American Miller beer in a store close to me, quite new and unknown beer that time in Tychy. Very nice, young lady proposed me to buy four bottles of Miller Genuine Draft beer at special price to get "free" CD with American music.
It was before my first trip to the USA, so I bought it - look at my picture. Hmm... it was NOT good beer, believe me. I tasted much better beer than Miller in the USA a few weeks later.

There is very serious, new disease around corner while you are in Tychy: it's called VTA = Virtual Tourist Addiction.
No cure till now but very strong support group.
Do you know any medicine against VTA? Or any good specialist on it? Must be inexpensive (my insurance doesn't cover VTA yet). E-mail me ASAP!!!
Cheers.
Warning: most (as for now 60%) of visitors to Tychy caught VTA or maybe they were already infected before, more research needed - look at Fernando (darthmilmo) on my picture, please!

Haha, at least two citizens of Tychy that is me and Urszula (matcrazy0) like Glogg written with "o" with two dots above :-) - Scandinavian letter.
What's that?
It's a non-alcohol Swedish beverage great for booze drinks not available in Tychy :-(((. I must drive to Swedish deli in IKEA in Katowice (30 - 40 min.) to buy it.
It is the perfect cold weather drink, warming the body and soul from the inside out.

Very similar to DUI, only TUI
Typing under the Influence - there are large fines for this and you can easily be put in a Tychy prison.... :o)
Note: I have to give Matt (Matcrazy1) credit for coming up with TUI
