On the street corner we found a lady selling smoked cheese I bought one sheeps milk and the other made with cows milk. We also saw them grilling these cheeses on an open fire in Krakow. These cheeses is made from salted unpasturised sheeps milk and pressed into spindle shapes and stored in brine.

Over 95% of Poles living in Poland are Roman catholic. Most of Poles go to holy mass each Sunday. But in Wadowice they go to church often even on business days. We were surprised to see many prayers inside basilica in the evening of non-holiday day. Whatever is your religion it maybe interesting to watch catholic holy mass in the basilica.
Holy Mass schedule:
On Sunday and holidays - 6.00, 7.30, 9.00 (for youths), 10.30, 12.00 (for children), 1.15pm, 6.00pm or 7.00pm (May - August).
Other days: 6.00, 6.30, 7.00, 7.30, 8.00, 12.00, 6.00pm (July - August: 6, 7 and 8am and 6pm).

Natives are proud of Wadowice most famous citizen - pope John Paul II. No wonder. You can find a lot of white-yellow papal flags around town. Add portraits of pope sometimes put in windows of private houses. I saw even a banner on a city hall building: City Hall of Wadowice trusts in Holy Father.
