Avoid the road works on A12 (E40)
There is a lot of work being done on the auto route from Cottbus to Wroclaw and the pavement was very bad. There is a lot of traffic and it is only two lanes, for a large part of it. On the way back we decided to drive to Zgorzelec by Jelenia Góra (we started already to the south of Wroclaw). That turned out very fine. Between the German border and Jelenia Góra, the road is two lanes but usually broad and slow traffic can (an does) drive to the far right: making it easy to over take. There was only one 'Baustelle'. with traffic lights. Near the border is a very large shop, to get rid of the last Zloty's. The road form Jelenia Góra to Swidnica is smaller, a normal two lanes road with some heavy traffic.. The scenery is far better than the road over Legnica.
