This is a nice vegetarian restaurant recommended to me by the locals.
The food is fresh, salads, pancakes, vegetable soups and nice natural fruit smoothies and deserts. It is also DIRT CHEAP without any compromise on quality. I especially like the Lithuanian steaks made with buckwheat. They were real tasty with their salads as accompaniement. The salads are weighed and paid for by the kilo.
This is a no nonsense self-service restaurant. Tables are basic and you go up and order everything for yourself, taking your cutlery and serviette with you. it was starting to fill up around midday. When you finish your tray, most of the locals bought it up to the little hole to be collected.
I am not a total vegetarian but with this restaurant, I could get used to it.
Favorite Dish: Luthuanian steak because it tastes so good and doesn't weigh you down if you need to do a walkabout.

If you are Vegetarian you should head for "Vega". It' s a kind of self service bar which offers meatless cuisine on the ground floor and vegan fare upstairs. There is really pretty big choice but the menu (hangs on the wall) is only in Polish and you have to say or point your finger at what you want to eat or to drink.
The prices are fair and some dishes start from 1 Euro but to be fully satisfied you should eat two or three of them.
The part upstairs is nicer.

After a long day of sightseeing I went to this Irish pub to enjoy a little Guiness. Those who know me may ask, why little. Well, it's just because the blood alcohol limit in Poland is 0.02% and I was in Wroclaw by car. Didn't want to have truble with the police.

This is a nice restaurant at the market square. You can sit outside and watch the people passing by or go inside and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautifull decorated restaurant. You can see how your meal is prepared as the kitchen is open.
Most dishes include hunted deer. Prices are around 20 Zloty for the meat plus 5 Zloty for each addition (potatoes, salad etc).

A small, quaint and comftorable atmosphere is what you will find in the restaurant. It makes your meal that much more enjoyable. You will find Spanish Guitar blasting through the speakers and the walls adorned with Mexican symbols. The food is as good as they made it in Mexico.
Favorite Dish: Enchiladas, Quesadillas and a Mojito drink to top it all off.
Great food, awesome atmosphere.
Its almost always at capacity so make reservations if you got your heart set on it.

If you like beer you should visit Spiz at least once. What makes this place interesting is that you can see here how beer is brewed. With your beer you will get bread with lard - some people say it's delicious. There's also a restaurant, where besides Polish dishes you can order gazpacho or pancakes in orange sauce.
Spiz is in the cellars of the new Town Hall - the white building you can see in the picture.
