We went by car from Holland to Biskupin, most roads are ok in Poland. The signs are good, just take a good map with you. There are enough small and big restaurant for drinks and food. The ones i like most are the ones called "BAR" , thats were they serve local food.
They are cheaper than the restaurants on the highway.

Favorite thing: The reconstructed fragment of the Lusatian Culture settlement, wich was built on a two hectare marshy island on the Lake Biskupin. The archaeologists date the settlement to the Early Iron Age.
The most characteristic there is the wooden tower and the gate. The gateway there was a 250 m wooden bridge, 3 m wide.
Fondest memory: The Museum in Biskupin is open all year round from 8:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. (in winter until dusk). You need for the tour about 2 hours.
