This is one of the oldest pharmacies in Bydgoszcz. There is the Museum of Pharmacy established on the 27th of December 2003. It is situated in the Pharmacy, which makes up its historical part. This pharmacy proudly blends into the landscape of the Gdañska Street for 150 years aleardy.
The museum was opened on the 150th anniversary of the pharmacy established by a pharmacist from Ostrow (the today Ostrow Wielkopolski), Constantin Augusa Mentzl.
The museum is composed of five rooms – material medica, rich in books (including old medical books) library, interestingly arranged corridor, herbal shop and the museum’s treasure – galenite laboratory. Exhibits related with the history of pharmacy and medicine are exhibited in the rooms.

Designed by Stefan Klajbor, the building was erected in 1954 – 1958. The building has two concert halls. One of them has a capacity of 920 people. The smaller one was designed for 300 people.
All rooms boast excellent acoustics. Thus, the Bydgoszcz Philharmonic Hall is considered to be one of the most renowned philharmonic halls in Europe. In the building, there is a collection of sculptures, paintings of composers as well as a collection of historic and antique pianos and grand pianos.
The Philharmonic is located in Libelta street.

This place is located far away from the city center in district called Fordon ( the biggest district in Bydgoszcz). In 1939 the Nazists killed 300 people in here. In memory of them the monument was erected.

The building in eclectic style was built at the beginning of XX century in years of 1903 - 1906. The building is impressive and huge, not that far aways from city centre.

Don't miss canoe race track placed on the Brda river mouth (to the Wisla river (Vistula)). Brda mouth is placed at the east side of Bydgoszcz, near Fordon quarter.

A: You can take bus or taxi from the airport to Bydgoszcz then train to Torun. Info on airport transport in English on the official website...

My home town - BYDGOSZCZCZSCZSZZCZS ;)

This horribly sounding name of the city comes from two polish words: "BE A GUEST". So I can say I live in a very friendly and hospitable city :) Bydgoszcz is not the biggest of Polish tourist...
