I disagree that this museum is a tourist trap. We visit it with vacationing guests. The layout is superb, it is a wonderful example of European elegance. The room displays are awesome. The attendants are courteous and helpful. It is now part of the Manufactura Complex. Special exhibits make return visits especially enjoyable.

There are definitely too many dogs in Poland. In Lodz we have c. 60 thousand of them (1 for 13 inhabitants). Every day they 'produce' about 12 tonnes of waste in the city. The problem is made worse by the fact that there are no adequate 'canine laws' which would impose fines upon dog owners who do not pick up after their dogs.
So don't look up at the stars while walking about. You have been warned.
