The pizza were overcooked, black and crusty. The filling were ,nicely said,: aweful.
The service was poor, and the staff too.
There are a lot of other restaurants where you can spend your money , that will actally be worth it :)
I had intended to eat only at vegetarian restaurants in Krakow: a challenge I didn't think possible before arriving in Poland, but the urge for quality pizza overcame me. The Cyklop pizzeria is reputedly the best in Krakow, and I certainly wasn't disappointed.
After the confusing entrance left me in the small, smoky bar section of the restaurant (I think there are other sections elsewhere) I enjoyed a great pizza from the wood-fired oven. It's decent pizza at a decent price with decent service. What more do you want?
This pizzeria is right off the main square and makes fresh, delicious pizzas in a wood-fired oven. There is indoor dining and also a quiet ,dining area in an outdoor courtyard. The prices of the small pizzas range from around 11 zloty to 16 zloty ( 3 to 4 US$) and feed one to two people.
Favorite Dish:
We dined here three times. My favorite pizza was the fresh tomato and mozzarella cheese. The mushroom and the roasted pepper pizzas were also quite good.
Very small restaurant serving delicious pizza from a wood burning brick oven.
We liked it so much we ate here twice!
Favorite Dish:
I tried the Salame pizza, bits of salami covered with what tasted like garlic salt. The large size was the size of a dish plate, the small only a bit smaller.
The atmosphere in cyklops was good it was very busy when we got there and the queue was out the door when we left. The service was excellent and food was of good quality and a resonable price.
A very enjoyable experience i would recomend but dont leave it till after 7pm or you will be waiting.
Favorite Dish:
I had pizza and wife had pasta now complaints
A good place for all ages, where you can eat in the garden area, away from the street. The Pizzas are better than the pastas here. My margherita-funghi was perfect, the beer cold, the waiting staff nice, children were welcome. Not sure how it compares price-wise, as it is smack in the middle of the tourist district, but it was certainly reasonable.
The Cyklop is only a stone's throw away from the main square, and is open both at lunchtimes and in the evening. I came here for lunch one day as had the large Cyklop pizza and a large beer - which came to the princely sum of PLN 26 (ca. EUR 6.20). Most pizzas are between PLN 10 and 15 for the medium sized pizzas and PLN 14 and 19 for the large pizzas. There are both bottled beers and tap beers available.
Favorite Dish:
I'd recommend the Cyklop pizza - lots of toppings and very tasty. And of course a large Zywiec to wash it all down with!
