We are really lucky here in Krakow that the closest ski slopes are only 40 minutes driving from the city. They also have lights and are open till 10 pm or even longer if there are at least 5 skiers on the slope. One of the places that are not too far from Krakow is Spytkowice. It's on the way to Slovakian border called Chyzne.
In Spytkowice there is a hotel right on the slope.
Rabka is exactly 40 min drive from Krakow and there are few slopes here. The one I like the most is called Polczakowka and maybe it's not like in Alps but for being so close to the city it's well worth going there.
If you get tired or hungry you can go to the bar on the slope. The tables outside also serve well for those who want to take some sun ;-)
Equipment:
You can rent skis right on the slope...
