At the turn of the 16th century some of the castle rooms were refashioned in the early Baroque style. Those rooms received marble fireplaces as well as ceilings with paintings in gilded frames.

This where Pope John Paul 2 was located in the early part of his career. This is another favourite place on the list of destinations for Polish school children.

The seat of power for over 1000 years. Architecturally it embraces Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Classic styles. It towers over the City in magnificence. Should not be missed.

This hilltop cathedral dates back to 1364 and was for four centuries the coronation and burial place of Polish Royalty.
