Tarnow is 80km East of Krakow, along the E-40 international road. This would be the first town that we would visit after hiring our car at Krakow airport.
We had a Sat Nav with us, that was invaluable during our road trip (especially with the detours that we were to make due to the flooding), and we soon found a parking spot near the centre of town.
Tarnow Town Centre has limited parking zones
Parking is only allowed in the designated areas. These are found in the following streets-
Narutowicza – Konarskiego – Dąbrowskiego - Kołłątaja - Starodąbrowska – Słoneczna – Sitki – Słowackiego - Nowy Świat – Solidarności – Szujskiego – Szkotnik - Mościckiego – Pułaskiego – Krakowska
Tickets are valid for an allocated time - 30 mins/60/120/ etc.
18.00 - 08.00 daily, and all day Sundays are free - no tickets are needed.
They can be bought from shops, such as the one we used, or machines.
