Fondest memory: There are always discussions about how people with different religions argue with each other but in Bialystok there were one Catholic, one Eastern Orthodox and one Evangelic Lutheran in the same car for a couple of days and we came along very well :)

Favorite thing: When visiting Bialystok, you must visit the Gromada and Cristal Hotel, the most extravagent hotels in the city. These hotels not only host accomidations but also fine dining, dancing and the most important a great atmosphere.
The churches in Bialystok are incredible and so beautiful, even if you are not a church person it's a must that you do see atleast one of them.
Fondest memory: Not only do I miss my family that resides in Bialystok, but also the side street shops in which you can find absolutely everything, and ofcourse the beauty of nature that you can really experience just outside the city, and mostly clean air.

Fondest memory: this, once again, does not concern the city of Bialystok, but the region Podlasie. In Grabarka, the Orthodox pilgrimage near the Eastern border, every year in August thousands of orthodox pilgrims come together at the monastery on the hill of Grabarka, praying and singing all night, candles illuminating the hill and the wood. It is such a magic and peaceful atmosphere

Favorite thing: Bialystok is a very interesting town. Its population consists of both Poles and Belarussians. Therefore, you can find here great examples of both Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches.

Not only Bialystok but many places hidden far from the main roads and sometimes even beaten paths... Enjoy some pictures, but better come and breath the atmosphere of places where time goes slower!
