the Atlas statue on the Branickis Palace courtyard.
Today in Branickis Palace there is the seat of Medical Academy. It is really a pity, that there isn`t a museum or interesting collection... But the palace building and the park around I like very much.

The Palace surround the beautiful park. The park of south-western side this is the park in french style. The main alley ending with a gate and Sfinx`s sculptures. Behind this gate there is the beautiful city park. By beautiful weather walk here many people. On the left of the gate is kiosk with very taste ice cream.

The Palace was destroyed in II World War. 1945-1962 one rebuilt it. Inside there are beautiful staircase with sculptures of Atlas. Not long ago was reconstructed the ball hall.
There are not many work of art, becouse the palace was rob of all during conquestes and war.

The most famous streets in Bialystok. Of course it's not La Rambla or Fifth Avenue but if you want go to a pub, club or shopping almost everything you can find nearby.
If you'll walk down the street there're a few of most famous Bialystok's buildings: Rocha's Church, Fara's Church, City Hall and old houses (but I'll tell you in secret...not very interesting;))
Oh and there's something you should know..Basically the firts's part of the street name is Rynek Kosciuszki but everybody calls it Lipowa. That's shorter and easier ;]

A lovely palace in the heart of the city of Bialystok, has a nice cosy bar in the back entrance and a quality yet quiet resturant called the arsenal.
The gardens look great snow covered and i would like to see them in the summer in full bloom.

BRANICKI PALACE.
This palace was erected by a rich aristocrat Jan Klemens Branicki. He was a field commander and even had his own private army. He cared more about the his own interests than the interests of his homeland though. Neverless, the palace is a beautiful Baroque structure. It dates to the 1600's.

The forests of Bialowieza form the oldest national park in Poland. For the last 80 years, there has been no human meddling with nature. Not only is this the last primeval forest in Europe (part of it on Belarussian territory), the national park is also renowned for its bisons. The wildest part of the forest is under special protection, nobody may enter without a guide and the number of groups admitted is limited. However, there are hiking trails in the surrounding as well

Not only Bialystok but many places hidden far from the main roads and sometimes even beaten paths... Enjoy some pictures, but better come and breath the atmosphere of places where time goes slower!
