This aquapark is located in Sopot-Kamienny Potok, not far away from Gdynia. I strongle recommend you going there especially when you visit Gdynia off-season or when the summer is cold as it offers a wide variety of different water (and not only!) attractions.

    A view over the harbour

When you are in Gdynia go for a walk to Kamienna Gora - a hill with a big cross on the top. No problem with finding it as it is in the very centre of the town. The sooner you go there, the better you do because now you can still admire the picturesque view. But the trees are growing all the time...
If you feel hungry-visit Rodizio El Toro (see my restaurant tips)

    Dar Pomorza.

The training ship called Dar Pomorza is one of the most interesting place in Gdynia.
It is a museum located at the harbour and you will find it without any problems.

It is the ship 91 metres long. It was bouilt in 1909 year and it was bought in 1929 year as a training ship for Naval School in Poland.

Its first voyage as a training shi was in year 1930. It was a great school for many generations of students of Naval School. They had their first experiences on this ship.

Dar Pomorza had 102 voyages also around the world.
His last voyage was in year 1981 and since year 1983 this ship has been at the Gdynia's harbour and it is opened for tourists.

You absolutely have to see this special ship as you can watch not only deck of the ship but also go to the rooms of the crew and know the conditions of this people during the voyages.

For visitors it is opened from Tuesday till Sunday .

The museum is private, rather small, but worth visiting- it has a few really rare exhibits. The owner is a car dealer whose passion is to find and renovate old vehicles.

    A starting hydrofoil

If you don't want to spend your time among people doing shopping, choose any of other sea trips or even watching the port -either by ship,or by hydrofoil.

There are some fine sandy beaches in the area though the quality and temperature of the water leave a lot to be desired.

    The ships moored in dockyards...

by queensali Written Aug 26, 2002

The ships moored in dockyards , like the 'ORP B³yskawica' destroyer ('Lightning') or Dar Pomorza (the Pomeranian Gift) for instance, are the biggest tourist attractions.
