This is really niceplace to have luch, supper or just to sit, rest and drink beer or so. The interior is originally designed and this seems to make the athmosphere of the restaurant. Both, the outside and the Tatiana's interior are nice and make impresion. The service was fine. Credit cards accepted.
The restaurant is open in the summer from 9 am till midnight and in the winter from 10 am till 11 pm.
Favorite Dish: The Tatiana restaurant serves slavonic cuisine. You can eat here for example: Moscow's barszcz soup, patato pancakes in Latvian style or `Kulebiak` - one of the most popular Russian meal - with mashrooms and cabbage.

Tatiana is really the best "discover" in Katowice! There we found the first (and only) English speaking person in Katowice (a very nice waitress) and we had a great dinner! The interior is very nice, in Russian style, and the eastern dishes we tried were very good indeed! The price is absolutely low, one of the best restaurants I've been in this las trip!

I had few hours before departue home and it was raining. In search of a place to spend some time before my train leaves, a friend recommended a cafe near Silesian theatre with comment that they have a really good hot chocolate. They do. Though most of all I was impressed by this place visually! Located in a cellar, kind of "unfinished-messy-overfull" style, with various antiques placed all over the walls, ceiling and reddish light creates artistic, bohemian atmosphere. Which fits, because besides cafe this place is also a gallery.
They offer common set of drinks - coffee, tea, hot chocolate, beer - and some cakes.

Had it not been for their large windows and an observant passer-by – I could have been had my passport burned up in the fire. What fire? These enterprising individuals leave small burning tea lights out across their customer drinking/dinning counter in their front window. Yes, live flames in the middle of the morning. I didn’t realise they were there. To be fair I was trying to drink a nice strong coffee to wake up. So yes, my brand new VT bag and bus ticket to get home went up in flames. I beat it our before it got to my passport. And the coffee? Weak in taste. Very. Nice surroundings, but who cares. There is a corporate Costa Coffee around the corner and several well rated cafés in town. ‘In Your Pocket’ Guide recommends you look elsewhere for a great coffee experience as well.
They do offer free WiFi, air-conditioning and take credit cards. Open 08:00-21:00 M-Sat, Sun 10:00-20:00
They also allow smoking. Of course they do. I left the place smelling like burnt nylon and paper. Not nice.

This is a small, cosy restaurant with a nice open terrace and an interior that looks like someone’s kitchen towards the back. They advertise s specialising in cuisine somewhere between Lithuanian and Caucasian (Georgian?). They have a wood-fire oven where they cook up delicious meals made from fresh ingredients and served in a very polite and professional manner. I had their Glomki starter which is normally made with a wrap of cabbage in Poland. This was wrapped in fresh vine leaves and was served with yogurt. Fresh and delicious. I had a ‘kebab’ to use a likely term. The 2 meat skewers had peppers and spices throughout the meat and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The house red wine was ok. Their toilet was well appointed, just in case you want to know these sorts of things
I would recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic meal or a change if you are here for a few days on business. I had a nice meal and dinning experience.
Open 13:00-22:00. They take credit cards, allow smoking (outside dinning) and also have nice tables inside.

It h.as been raining for two days and will continue to rain until we leave tomorrow. Despite these 100 year rains, we had to get out & take a walk. We walked over to the "market area" close to train station. Nice streets with foot traffic only. Shops & restaurants. We found Chili on one of the cross streets. Polish menu only, small, not too busy.
We ordered what we know, taking the chance our Polish is better than we believe.
Favorite Dish: Chili Con Carne, on the money, not as thick as US Chili, but the seasoning was spot on. Caprese salad, fresh and tasty with olive oil/mint/herb dressing on side - really good. Lots of thinly slice bakery fresh. rye on the side.
John's bolognese was different, but excellent, mostly ground meat with lots of oregano & a bit of tomato. My perogi's (ruskie), what can I say, what is better than sauteed dough stuffed with mashed potato & topped with bacon & onion, a touch of vinegar -- heaven. Everything was hot off the stove, nice for a cold gray rainy spring day

Very unique decoration. Menu in English & Polish. Service was good. Walking distance from qubus Hotel.
Favorite Dish: Mushroom soup was FAB. Seafood with cream sauce (frutti de mare, like a seafood alfredo), very good, very fresh. Pork roulade a bit dry, but tasty, white asparagus delicious. Desserts were very tasty.
Price was reasonable.

Havinng spent 3 weeks in Italy on honeymoon, we appreciated the effort taken to create the "al fresca" atmosphere. The food is very authentic, the prices may be higher than usual katowice prices, $167 PLN for dinner for 2, including drinks, starter & entree, but we found this to be low price for same meal in US.
It was very good and we recommend for romantic (candle lighting) or business, all patrons dressed very nicely.
Menu in both Polish & English.
Favorite Dish: John had a lovely, tender piece of sirloin steak, I enjoyed the best mussels, topped with a rich tomato sauce. The mushroom soup was excellent. The salad caprese was fragrant & deli
cious.
The service was very good & they did serve a free starter, olives with herbed olive oil and the nicest bits of freshly baked bread right out of the oven.

Restaurant is serving polish and european cuisine. It's a slow food, family run place. It's great for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. It has also wide range of coffees and deserts including my favourite home made tiramisu and home baked apple pie. Everything is prepared fresh to the order, so it takes approximately 10-20 minutes to get a main course on the table. But it's definitely worth waiting. The dishes remind me of childhood dinners prepared by my polish grandmother.
The interior is very modern and creates a nice, friendly, relaxed and warm atmosphere. It's a completely non-smoking place. It's good for business meetings and as well meetings with friends or family dinners. The Menu is in polish and english. Staff can communicate in polish, english, german and russian. The restaurant offers take away - both pick up and deliveries. In the restaurant you can pay with cash and major credit cards (American Express is not accepted), deliveries only with cash. The price for main course is 10 to 12 PLN, so about $4 USD or £2.4.
It's located on one of the main streets in Katowice - ul. Warszawska, very close to the Silesian University and walking distance form city's main square.
There is no parking in front of restaurant, but there is few parking lots nearby. It's also easy to access by public transport - trams or buses.
Favorite Dish: It's a very hard choice as there is few dishes worth mentioning. My favourite would have to be the Hungarian Pie. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's kind of thick base of potato pancake topped with stew. It's massive and very filling. Great for cold winter in Poland. You don't need any starters, soups and most possibly you won't be able to eat a desert or anything else after it and it costs only 12 PLN.

One of the worst things about the restaurant is that it is not located in the city centre. You need to take a taxi, or a tram to get there.
Favorite Dish: The restaurant serves dishes of both Italian and Silesian cuisine. The menu card is a real horn of plenty offering Italian, Silesian and old-Polish delicacies. You may easily be tempted by the traditional Silesian rolled beef with dumplings and red cabbage, fricassee of Mazurian crawfish with pearl gruel or carpaccio of fresh salmon and sole in condiment of lemon and dill. The sole from the oven and spinach and gorgonzola tastes just as delicious. Connoisseurs of superior liquors will also find items of interest being able to choose out of the sumptuous carte de vine from the vineyards of France, Italy, Spain the New World.
To finish your dinner or supper with, they recommend delicious desserts such as for example freshly baked apple-pie with ice-cream or our famous egg-liquor Chopin cake. The sweets must surely be accompanied by coffee : freshly-roasted and ground Italian coffee made at our bar in the Rancilio espresso wish preserves its unique taste and aroma. They also recommend the Humidor cigar and a glass of whisky at the fire-place or in the closed-circle atmosphere of the club hall with your favourite music to keep you company and make you feel at home.
