The younger generation in Poland knows English quite well because this language is taught in schools. Some know German , French or Russian - especially thye older generation. In Szczecin some people also attend other courses of foreign languages like Norwegian, Swedish, Italian, Spanish.
But on the other hand in my opinion it's good to know a language of the country in which somebody plans to spend a longer period of time - for instance foreign students studying in Szczecin or other Polish cities.. When somebody plans to make a few days visit in foreign country it also would be useful to carry a mini version of a dictionary in one's bag. Leave a Comment
