The decor is modern with a centrepiece of the Leaning Tower of Pisa serving as the repository for the spirits bottles. The service is efficient and friendly, with good English spoken and English menus. it seems to be a place for romantic trysts as, on the Saturday night we visited, there were nothing but couples there.
When we visited, Mrs._p only wanted a lightish meal and had what she declared to be a wonderful pizza, which was prepared and cooked in the main part of the restaurant while we watched. I shall go on (at length) about the wonderful meal I had in the next section!
Whilst this place is probably quite expensive by local standards, by London standards, it was an absolute bargain, the entire meal (starters, mains, a couple of drinks and coffee) coming to around ?20. In a city which seems blessed with great eating options (see other tips), this place really stands out. An absolute must.
Although predominantly an Italian restaurant, there was an extensive game menu, it being December. After much deliberation, I plumped for what was called the Forest Managers Choice. This consisted of various cuts of venison, wild boar and liver offered with a beautiful rich sauce and served with pan-fried pear with cranberry compot and cheese croquettes.
To be honest, and I'm not known for being short of something to say, words almost fail me. It was absolutely divine. The meat was prepared beautifully and the accompaniments did exactly what the name implies, with the pear and cranberry cutting through the richness of the sauce. An inspired combination.

Ladoga is probably the nicest restaurant in Szczecin. Not only the food is great but the service is excelent. No matter what time of day or night you will get there and how "profitable" are you to the restaurant the stuff will be happy to see you and they will make you feel like at home. The restaurant is inside a ship docked on Waly Chrobrego. During the summer months it is a pleasure to eat outside on the deck.
Every dish I ever had in Ladoga was delicious, also thir wine list is great. Restaurant is not cheap for Poles, but if you make your money somewhere else it is really inexpensive.

A restraunt with a difference - It is run with an owners personal touch.
The ambience is quite, peaceful and the clients are made to feel comfortable and at home.
The food quality in the last 4 years that i have been visiting the restraunt has been of a high standard comparable with some of the best Indian Restraunts in Europe or even in India.
I love the entire menu card and if you have the time on your hands then you can order a special of your choice and they will try to fulfill it. So, Szczecin can be sometimes fussy and grumpy, rainy and yucky, if that happen in the middle of the summer, don't let it bother you. Call the taxi and ask for a ride to Boguslawa Promenade. Right in the middle of the Boguslawa, you will find nicely decorated coffee shop called Fanaberia.
Fanaberia has some great tables inside, but don't be affraid, if it is not raining too hard :-) try to sit outside, having a hot expresso, or hot chockolate on a chilly Polish summer day is something you can't experiment in too many places.
Service is nice, drinks are great and sipping your drink on a busy promenade and people watching can be really great idea to lighten the rainy day.
My favorite is hot chocolate made by Wedel, famous polish chockolate producer. Santo can swear by their expresso coffee with little ice cream inside. Everything is really great in Fanaberia. It is really an upscale European standard.

A nice place to eat pizza. It is not located not in the centre of Szczecin, but near Pogodno / Krzekowo district of town. You can also order pizza by phone to your home.
